WANWM – Answers For Chapter 2

I’d like to thank those of you who participated in answering the question for Chapter 2 of my interactive writing experiment, Write A Novel With Me. All three answers that were given are up for your vote. As you consider these three very good choices, make sure to take into account the story thus far and where you would like to see it go. Here’s a link to Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 if you haven’t yet read them (or would like to reread them before making your decision).

Here was the question:

Here are the answers up for your vote (in order of submission):

1) Jaden opened the door to find the very rabbit that Sawyer had been chasing. He rubbed his eyes and thought he must be dreaming once the rabbit stood on his hind legs and spoke. “Hurry up you lazy butt! We have to get Sawyer soon before it’s too late!”

2) Jaden opened the door and a drenched Sawyer fell into his arms. She was barely breathing but she was able to speak two words: “I’m sorry.” Then she fell unconscious.

3) Jaden opened the door and saw his long lost brother Rick. Rick said, “I have something to tell you about your fiancé, Sawyer. She is not who she says she is.” He goes on to explain, “She is a foreigner not of this world.” Jaden says, “What are you talking about? I haven’t seen you for 20 years and this is what you have to say to me!” Jaden then asks, “If she is not of this world then what is she and how would you know?” Rick says, “I have been tracking her for many years and she is known as a shape shifter on her planet. She has come here for the greatest treasure in the known galaxy.”

To vote, use the comment section below, comment on the Facebook post, or use #WriteANovelWithMe on Twitter (and tag @phoenixmoirai) to provide the number of the answer you like the best. You have until 5 p.m. PST on Monday, October 20, 2014. The winning answer will be the basis for Chapter 3. In case of a tie, I will be the deciding vote.

I look forward to seeing which direction you’d all like to see the story go, and can’t wait to get started on the next chapter.
