“Never Stop Living” and the Kickstarter Popular Club

Well, the Kickstarter campaign for my feature film, Never Stop Living, (an inspirational sports drama about a young girl who wants nothing more than to pitch in one final game before succumbing to her terminal illness) is a week old, and so far, just over a handful of people have contributed. That’s awesome and I want thank all of those who have taken the time to do so! And with 27 days left, there’s still plenty of time to get people excited and help bring this tremendous story to life.

One way to gain notoriety and get more contributors to the project is, of course, to have people contribute. That is to say, Kickstarter highlights the most popular projects on their homepage, but projects don’t appear there unless they’re, well, generating a lot of interest — and thus, a lot of contributors. Therefore, the more people who make a contribution now (even if it’s just a dollar), the more “popular” the project becomes. And when a project becomes popular, more people will see it, thus more people are more apt to contribute.

So, to do this, I’ve set myself a goal. I want Never Stop Living to become part of Kickstarter’s popular club. In order to do that, I am going to try to get at least 250 people to contribute by the end of the week. Next week, I’m going to try and get at least 500 more contributors, followed by 750 the week after. This should give the campaign the popularity it needs to generate enough buzz, climb higher up the ladder, get noticed, and reach its goal.

But I can’t do it alone. In order for this to work, I need everyone’s help. If you are planning to contribute to the campaign, please do so in the next five days (remember, one dollar is all you need to count as a contributor; you can always change the contribution later, if need be). Afterward, let all of your friends, family members, colleagues, Facebook stalkers and Twitterheads know that you’ve made the effort to help Never Stop Living go from obscure passion project to bona fide pop-culture status and that they should too. With everyone’s help, 250 people contributing over the next 5 days should be as easy as ordering a pizza.

Head on over to the Kickstarter Campaign page now and choose one of the fantastic rewards for your overwhelming generosity.

Once again, thanks so much for everyone’s help, your contributions and your prayers!
